Dr. Elizabeth Landry

Dr. Elizabeth Landry is an Instructional Specialist for ELA, who resides in Chester, VA. She has worked as a teacher, instructional reading coach, and reading specialist in Chesterfield County, Fairfax County, Henrico County, Prince William County, and Richmond (City) Public Schools. These positions were at the elementary and middle school level, which provided insights into effective K-8 literacy instruction. Elizabeth is most passionate about empowering students to become strategic readers, writers, and thinkers. She values a knowledgeable teacher who understands the science of teaching and effective instructional practices. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching for Elementary Education from Mary Baldwin University along with a Gifted Endorsement, a Literacy, Language, and Culture Certificate from Longwood University and an Educational Specialist Degree from Regent University in Administration and Supervision with an emphasis in Special Education. Always the pursuer of excellence for students, Elizabeth recently completed her doctoral program through Regent University with a dissertation: A Sequential Explanatory Study Connecting Phonemic Awareness Assessment to Scientific Research with Implications for Classroom Practice.
