We want to hear from teachers about teacher prep

See all posts
Since we launched our national review of teacher preparation programs last January, we've heard a lot from schools of education about what they think about our effort.

We've also heard what state and district superintendents along with ed reform organizations around the country think: the public needs to know which preparation programs are doing a good job and which are not.

But now it's time to hear from those most directly affected by teacher preparation programs: teachers themselves.

We want to know how ready teachers felt on their first day of class. What do teachers value about their teacher preparation programs? What do they think aspiring teachers need to know about the programs they are considering?

To get answers to these questions, NCTQ has launched a survey. We're asking anyone who is a teacher or has been a teacher to take just a few minutes and respond.

And if you're not a teacher, you can help us out a lot by forwarding this survey to any teachers you know.

Here's the link to the survey that you can forward:

We'll use the survey results to make sure our forthcoming National Review provides the information teachers need.

And as a token of our gratitude, we'll be holding a drawing for the next two weeks for anyone who completes this very brief survey. Every day we'll choose two respondents to give $25 Amazon.com gift cards.

Please help NCTQ hear from teachers!  Follow the link here
