Teacher voices on teacher preparation

Some of the most valuable insights on teacher preparation come from teachers themselves. This week we launch a video series highlighting teacher voices on the issue. Teachers speak out on how programs can best prepare future teachers for the classroom, covering everything from the importance of learning to teach reading well to being ready to manage a classroom.

To kick off the series, we hear from Dwight Davis, a 5th grade teacher of English/language arts and social studies who's taught for eight years, and Kelsey McManus, a ninth grade math teacher with four years experience. Both talk about the importance setting a high bar for those entering the profession.
