LEVEL II TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM FOR 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR

THIS PROGRAM IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING

“FUNDING AVAILABLE UP TO $2,000

 

We are currently accepting applications for the 2012-2013 School Year. The application must be for courses taken from 7/1/12 to 6/30/13. Applications can be submitted once the course has been completed and grades received. No applications will be accepted after 7/30/13 for this program.

Tuition reimbursement will be granted up to “$2,000” per school year for approved coursework taken after becoming a full time teacher,  currently holding an Instructional I certificate, and  needs to complete the State’s “24 post-baccalaureate credits” requirement to obtain an Instructional II certificate. If you already possess a Master’s degree, Instructional II certificate, have an Intern certificate or have 24 or more post baccalaureate credits, you are not eligible for this program.

Courses must be taken at an accredited, four-year college or university. To check a college or university’s accreditation, please follow this link to: http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx. Employees must receive a grade of “B” or higher, or a grade of Pass in the courses for which reimbursement is requested. Classes that have NOT been reimbursed through another program are eligible for reimbursement. Classes will only be reimbursed once.

Teachers can submit applications after October 1st 2012 and before July 30, 2013.   District administrative personnel will review reimbursement requests for courses taken. A payment for the amount requested, up to “$2,000”, will then be included in the employee’s paycheck. Tuition reimbursement will be paid until School District funds set aside for this program are depleted.

If you meet the above criteria, please submit the following documents to the address below:

  • Start Date of Coursework-  must be after date of employment
  • Request for Reimbursement Form
  • Form  SEH-195
  • Official Transcript - no grade reports, unofficial and/or internet copies of transcripts are not acceptable
  • Form of Payment -receipt, front and back of canceled check, credit card or bank statement or student loan

NOTE: Reimbursement payments are normally made within the first two pay periods after the application has been submitted, please check your paystub to ensure your payment has been made. If all documents are not submitted it will delay your reimbursement payment
