Last November, Florida voters endorsed an initiative to limit class sizes in the Sunshine State despite being warned by prominent politicians that the state was facing a tough budgetary outlook and that money might be put to better educational purposes. Since its passage, Gov. Jeb Bush has been struggling with the formidable question of its implementation or even how to get it repealed. On the latter front, Bush got assistance on Wednesday from another source. The State Board of Governors--the 17 member board which supervises the management of Florida's universities has decided that the class-size amendment gives too much money in perpetuity to levels K-12 and has called for its repeal.
