Cartoons by David Flanagan

In early childhood, David was the proverbial kid in the back of the classroom, causing trouble and drawing silly pictures. His passion for illustration never ceased and eventually found its way into a steady stream of professional freelance cartooning.

Based in Sacramento, California, David's six-year-old advertising agency, Crocker/Flanagan, was recently named by the Sacramento Business Journal as the 11th fastest growing company in the region. His work has garnered enough awards to fill a warehouse, including three "Best of Show" awards at the ADDYs. He was also named Sacramento's Advertising Executive of the Year in 2003.

David also wrote, directed and produced My Sweet Suicide, an award-winning, independent feature film He has also released a comedy CD entitled Deadfish Theater and a novel, Killing the Goose. He is a frequent guest speaker and writer, and teaches effective advertising at the University of California, Davis.
