Methodology: Classroom assessments
We reviewed syllabi for non-clinical coursework (with the exception of reading courses3) provided to us in order to determine assignments, classroom instruction and/or required reading on the following topics: 1) an introduction to various assessments and their purposes, 2) standardized testing, 3) how to appropriately prepare classroom assessments, and 4) interpreting and applying data from both classroom and standardized assessments to improve instruction.
